Facts about Taravir
Breed: Domestic Longhair
Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
I am already neutered.
TARAVIR is a gorgeous, fluffy, affectionate 2-year-old male kitty who is white with a gray mask, cape, and tail. This young boy is a extra big, squishy love bug -- it takes him no time at all to warm up and explore new surroundings. He loves to play and jump onto high places. He loves his cat tree and cardboard scratcher. Taravir is an absolute gentleman when it comes to his litter box and his hygiene. For a long-haired cat, he doesn't tangle and shed as many do, but he does need to be brushed to keep his silky fur in top notch condition. Taravir loves to lay with you and on you. He enjoys having his belly softly scratched. This sweet boy has a lot of kitten in him still. He was adopted from WCDC as a baby (he had been raised in a foster home as a bottle baby), and was recently returned to us because his owner's roommate adopted another dominant young male -- and the 2 cats began engaging in destructive behavior. However, once in his foster home, he has gotten along well with the kittens and other mellow kitties there. He should be fine with gentle kids who respect him; it is unknown how he would do with dogs. Taravir just needs a stable, forever home where he can love and be loved, and he is sure to capture your heart and brighten your days! His adoption fee is $75 (which is strictly to help cover our costs). He has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (he is negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, defleaed and dewormed—plus you get a free vet visit. Taravir is currently in foster care, and can be easily visited there. For more info, call Beth at (541) 255-9296.
Our mission is to provide care and find loving homes for companion animals of our community, with a focus on those with special needs. Currently we only work with Cats. We offer temporary housing in foster homes until they can be placed through our adoption process. We have adoption centers within both Petsmarts in Eugene, at Chad Drive, near Costco, and 29th and Willamette; PetCo by Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd. WCDC works with humane societies, other animal rescue groups, the public and government animal services agencies to offer them relief from their overpopulation problem. All cats in our custody receive the medical care they need. WCDC is a non-profit organization. All money raised is used to help WCDC save as many animal lives as possible.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Our cats can be seen at Petsmart on Chad Drive and on Willamette St, at Petco near Valley River Center and Wags Emporium on Coburg Rd, seven days a week during normal business hours. We do have adoption counselors available on weekends or by appointment or from 11-4pm Sat.-Sun.
Our Adoption Process...
All potential adopters are required to complete our application and contract. Our contract stipulates the requirements for care of our pets. These documents are available through e-mail or at our adoption events. The documents are reviewed by our staff and together with a face to face interview we explore the potential new home. If all parties agree to the specifics of the contract the dog or cat can go home. Adoption fee varies with age of pet. All pets are current on vaccinations, health checked by our veterinarian, De-wormed, treated with flea medication, spayed or neutered, and cats are felv/fiv tested.
