Mackenzie - N's Story...
Introducing Mackenzie. Sweet Mackenzie is a senior Chow mix in need of a forever home to live out her senior years. She has a sweet temperament and is in good health for her age. She would love nothing more than to have a home and family to call her own. She would make a great companion for someone looking to have the loyal companionship that only a dog can provide. Mackenzie gets along with other dogs and seems okay around cats so far. Her estimated year of birth is 2006 and her weight is around 50 lbs. Smiling Dog Farms is a sanctuary for the forgotten, neglected and rejected. Our dogs come from shelters and rescues all across America. All dogs that are deemed adoptable are up to date on shots, spayed or neutered, and on heartworm prevention. Many of our dogs live in Wharton Texas, but we have very safe, reliable transport to the northeastern states.
Our Adoption Process...
Most of the dogs that come to our Sanctuary have had a scary background of being left to die in animal shelters across the country. Understandably, we are very careful in our approving our adoptions as we are dedicated to ensuring that this dogs truly go to a "forever" home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.
