My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

IDGSR WELCOMES CHAMP INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!

Champ is a male German Shepherd who is approximately 10 yr. old. Before coming to the rescue, Champ spent his whole life as a backyard breeding dog. His owner paid no attention to him or cared for him in any way. When Champ was too old to breed anymore, he was brought to a kill shelter. Now that he is in a loving foster home he is safe and enjoying life for the first time. He's getting nutritious food and living indoors with a family. He loves his foster mom and follows her all around the house. Champ is very loving with people and just so grateful to have this life and not the existence he had before. He is a little older but gets around well and wants to join in the fun with the other dogs. Champ would be a great dog for retirees and would love to have a family of his own to love.

If you are interested in adopting Champ, please feel free to fill out an application on our website.
