Erin's Story...
Erin is part of the Walton family group though you wouldn't think it to look at her. She also appears to be the oldest. She knows some commands including sit and stay and she really, really wants to hold hands. Erin would love to have someone home with her most of the day as she thrives on human companionship.

Our Walton family and a couple cousins were rescued from Effingham County Animal Control. Their owner had fallen seriously ill and could no longer take care of them. With no family members wanting them, the dogs were turned over to AC. CPR committed to taking all 11 so there was no dog left behind. With no history on the dogs, the ages are being determined by teeth as best as possible, however, it is evident that they haven't seen vets and need good grooms.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Erin, a Savannah Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji for sale in Savannah, or seeking a Basenji dog from a breeder in Savannah.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Savannah already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Savannah breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji breeders who help with Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Savannah paves the way for another one to be saved.
