Maggie Sue was turned into a high kill shelter in Northern Alabama along with a litter of puppies by her owners. The puppies were taken by another rescue group that left her there to die. Maggie was found to be heart worm positive which is also a death sentence if not treated. Thankfully Maggie Sue quickly became a favorite of staff and volunteers as she was such a sweet and loving girl. They worked very hard to network Maggie Sue and raised funds to have her spayed and to start heart worm treatment hoping to give her a shot at a forever home. During the course of the networking Sandi Paws Rescue became aware of the situation and stepped in to help. A volunteer from the Shelter and a foster from Sandi Paws met halfway and sweet Maggie Sue began the next step in her journey to a forever home. She has fit in wonderful with the other dogs in the foster's home. She is completely crate trained. Maggie Sue loves belly rubs and spending time with her human. Maggie Sue has completed her heartworm treatment and is ready to find her forever home.
