* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue

This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, December 3rd from 1-4pm and Sunday, December 4th from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.

King is a 10 month old Lab-Dachshund mix. Don't laugh. He's really a Lab. His mom was a yellow Lab. All we can guess is that Dad wasn't a Lab! He weighs 19.8lbs. He has the super friendly, outgoing, get along with everyone kind of personality. He is the kind of dog that anyone and everyone can walk up to and pet and love on when he's out in public or when they come over. He is a dog who is an option for a first time dog owner.

King gets along with other dogs. He is currently living with big and little dogs. He doesn't care about size. Really size doesn't matter! He can join another dog in his home or he can be 'King' of his castle. He could be an option to go to doggy day camp or to the dog park. He'd have a blast getting to know people and dogs. He is also an option to go to work with Mom or Dad. He's the type that would meet and greet anyone who walks through the door. King's previous owner worked during the day and he is a dog who can hang out by himself. King previously grew up and lived with cats. He is an ideal candidate to join cats in his new home.

King is a dog who likes to go for rides in the car. He likes to go on walks. He is a total lover boy and a total velcro type of dog. He would love nothing more than to join Mom as she carpools the kids around to activities. He'd be a hit at the soccer games. He could be anyone's co-pilot.

King is a dog we would consider for young children depending on the experience of the parents and depending on whether the application is completed thoroughly.

**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)

**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
