Jacob's Story...
Jacob may be a Pointer mix, about 12 weeks old, and he is a total love baby. He loves everyone, human or pup, that he meets. He would be absolutely perfect for any great home. He loves to play, as all puppies his age do, and he loves to be held and loved on. Really, it's hard to even tell you what a great little guy he is. He wakes up happy to be alive and loving life every day.

Breed identification by visual means is unreliable for most dogs. We are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. Each dog at CARA is an individual and we do our best to describe each animal based on personality, not by breed label.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jacob, a Jackson Pointer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Jackson, or seeking a Pointer puppy from a breeder in Jackson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jackson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jackson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jackson paves the way for another one to be saved.
