"It's been about two weeks since this beautiful boy was saved from the kill list at a rural shelter down south. John Doe was transported to his foster home in NY and is doing so well! He was skin and bones when he came to us, but he is doing so well an d has gained 5 pounds. John Doe is a 1 year old boxer mix who is sweet, gentle, and loving. He get along with other dogs very well, and he absolutely LOVES children. He loves to sit by you and wait for you to pet him, he'll keep asking for more. He has only been with his foster Mom for a short time but he's already learning so much. He is learning to sit, stay, walk on a leash, and much more. John Doe was set to be killed the day before Thanksgiving, and we could never let that happen. Because of his wonderful foster family we were able to save him. This why we NEED foster families!! It's so sad to see them go to their forever homes as we have saved their life, nursed them back to health, and cared for them. But like I always say I would rather cry when I see them go to their new home, then cry because they died. If you are not a foster family I urge you to apply today. John Doe will have his happily ever after...will it be with you?
