Introducing Brienne (and her brother Tyrion). These sweet pups found themselves at Memphis Animal Services and sadly, on the euthanasia list. Just a few days in a very high turnover, high-volume shelter spells disaster for hundreds of dogs a month in the city's pound. There was something truly captivating about these puppies, their sweet unassuming way and adorable faces grabbed our attention. We are so happy to have them in our rescue.

Brienne and Tyrion are currently in a foster homes and live with other dogs (both big and little). They are kid-friendly, cat-friendly dogs looking for their happily ever. Brienne's adoption fee is $300 and includes her spay surgery, microchip, all up to date vaccinations, deworming and heart worm preventative.

About Wilson Animal Rescue - Nashville Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

Wilson Animal Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based rescue group in Memphis, Tennessee. We focus on rescuing dogs who are in danger of being euthanized at the city's run shelter and other midsouth shelters. We strive to place dogs in loving homes not only locally but in cities in the Midwest and New England areas. There simply aren't enough people adopting in the Memphis area to keep up with the amount of adoptable dogs who find themselves homeless.

For Example- In July 2015 Memphis Animal Services(city run animal control facility) took in 753 dogs. 191 were surrendered by their owners and 428 were brought in as strays either by animal control or by citizens. Of those strays 39 were returned to their owners. That was a good month for reclaims, typically only 5% of strays are returned to their owners. Of the 6,212 animals MAS has taken in through July of this year, 315 have been reclaimed. 336 dogs are euthanized in the month of July 2015, bringing the total of euthanized so far this year to 2228.

These numbers are from just ONE animal control facility. These numbers are why it has become our passion to help save these precious lives. To represent the underdog, to prove that rescues are just as loving and deserving as purebred dogs.
