ABOUT ME: Mac is 1 1/2 and around 70 pounds.
Mac (short for McLovin) is a super affectionate and energetic pup. He is always eager for attention in whatever way he can get it and loves to play (especially in the snow). His husky side is particularly dominant meaning he needs lots of exercise and needs some help learning how to channel his excitement at meeting new people and dogs into appropriate behavior but is a very quick learner. He loves cuddling and can’t get enough tummy rubs.
Mac came to Twin Cities Pet Rescue from a home that just wasn’t able to give him the love and attention he needed. He was recently neutered and is healthy. He is house trained, kennel trained, and loves to hang out and nap in his kennel even when his people are at home. He has recently been learning commands such as sit, stay, and come but will need some working on these in more distracting environments.
Mac was originally in a foster home with two female dogs and did well. It’s unclear how well he would do around cats but has done quite well around other small animals. He still has trouble discerning puppy play from human play and does like to jump up on people, so he probably wouldn’t do well around small children.
All around, Mac is a wonderful and loving pup deserving of a great home that can give him the love and attention he needs!
