My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Alfie... a very happy and active, 1-year-old, 10-lb. 'Chiweenie' (Chihuahua and Dachshund mix) puppy.

Alfie's a very loving and sweet pup, and enjoys cuddling and showering you with kisses. When meeting new people, he is shy at first, but it doesn't take him long to warm up.

Alfie loves to run around, exploring his yard and chasing squirrels, so a fenced yard will be best for this little guy. He is crate-trained and sleeps through the night in his crate. He is doing very well with his housetraining in his foster home.

Alfie also enjoys playing with other pups, so we think he'd enjoy having another small and energetic canine companion with which to play. It would be best if he also had someone home much of the day to keep him on a schedule so he can become perfectly housetrained.

Alfie is a very healthy little boy... he is neutered, microchipped, current on his Rabies, DHP/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccines, has been dewormed, and is on Heartworm and flea prevention.

Alfie's adoption fee is $225.00.

If you are interested in Alfie, and think he may be your ideal canine companion, please visit our website at foreverhomek9rescue.org for information on our adoption process and to download an application, or you may e-mail us at foreverhomeK9rescue@yahoo.com for additional information, or to request an application.

FHCR offers a 3-week trial period with all our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adoptive family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have the perfect “forever” home!

Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, but we never 'ship' or 'transport' our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.
