Rudy (short for Rudolph) is approximately 3 to 4 years old, and is a chihuahua/ rat terrier mix. Rudy is a sweet little boy weighing in at only 11 pounds, the perfect lap size!  He is great with all the other dogs but does chase the cat for fun. He is shy when you first meet him, but warms up quickly and wants to be petted and loved on. Rudy loves covering you with kisses, and sleeping in bed with his foster parents is the bomb!  He is so grateful to be with people that will show him kindness and love. He is house trained, and loves to go for fun car rides!  Like most small dogs, he is nervous of fast movements at first so we would recommend children over 7 years old . His favorite thing is belly rubs and he knows how cute he looks when he rolls over for them. He will make your heart melt.  If he got his wish, Rudolph really wants a family of his own for the Holidays. Do you need some extra love this Holiday and forever?  Rudolph is ready to pack his bags for a new life with you!  For more photos of Rudy, click here:  http://ImageEvent.com/coram/rudy

About Rat Terrier ResQ - NC

About Our Rescue Group...

Rat Terrier ResQ is a national all-volunteer Rat Terrier dog rescue group committed to saving Rat Terriers in need. These dogs are special loving creatures and, at times, end up with people who don't understand them. These Rat Terriers may end up in shelters after having been abandoned, neglected or abused. We work to get them safe, loved, and healthy -- and then find them the real forever homes they so rightly deserve.. Learn more about us at our website: http://www.ratterrierresq.com

Come Meet Our Pets...

Because all of our dogs are located in a network of foster homes across the U.S. and southern Canada, we do not have a shelter or other public location. Visit our website at http://www.ratterrierresq.com to see all of our available dogs.

Our Adoption Process...

All inquiries about Rat Terrier ResQ dogs need to go through our applications team. We go through a careful process to ensure that this will a permanent, loving relationship.

Your patience and understanding is appreciated throughout the process. Feel free to ask questions and email back and forth as much as you like with the dog's foster parent. You will also receive a phone call from an Applications Coordinator for an interview and a Home Visit Coordinator will be working to set up a Home Visit.

Once you are approved to adopt your new family member, we will send you an adoption contract to read, sign, and send back along with your adoption fee ($150 for adult dogs; $175 for puppies under 6 months). After your contract has been received, we will work with you to arrange transport to get your new family member home to you!
