Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Sophie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Sophie's Story...
This is lovely Sophie. She is 6 years old. She is very sweet and gets along with everyone.

She has been spayed and has been made up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She has also been given a thorough exam to ensure that she's in good health.

Even though she gets along very well with other pets, she should be fed separately because she gets a little growly as she eats.

If this pretty girl is the one for you, please email LPBHPR@aol.com for an adoption application! Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Portland Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
