Lucy (8 years old) is a very talkative companion that needs a forever home with someone who is capable of taking of a special needs pet. She has excellent litter box habits, loves to chat back and forth, and loves to knead her favorite blanket draped over your belly/lap. Even though she does not appreciate being picked up, she will want to be in the same room with you as your constant companion, and loves to be followed and pet while she talks. She is o.k. with brushing but prefers to self-groom, which she keeps up very well. She has always been indoors but loves balconies. A home without children and dogs would be perfect!
Lucy was diagnosed with IBD as a kitten. We have spent these years perfecting the balance of the proper food and medication and have it down to a good routine that has been successful to control her IBD. We have all vet records available to be transferred to her new home. We have another Maine Coon (male) that is a 12 year old diabetic and we are unable to continue caring for both special needs cats, as the diabetic one is extremely expensive. This is a very hard decision but one that must be made in the best interest of Lucy. Contact 503-312-4296 to be put in touch with Lucy's owner.
