We just love Snowflake! This cutie pie was brought to the shelter as a stray and is now ready and excited to become a forever dog! She is about 6 months old and is as sweet as they come! Her main goal is to be close to you and to be loving you. Snowflake seems to do great around other dogs. We are continuing to learn about her and will update accordingly! She still has her puppy behaviors so it'd be great for her future owner to make sure she learns properly. Snowflake is so ready to be a forever dog!

About Michiana Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

The Michiana Humane Society has been helping our community's unwanted animals find homes for nearly 100 years. We believe that animals belong with families, and we do whatever we can to make that happen!

Come Meet Our Pets...

The shelter is currently open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for adoptions. You can find news of our activities on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/MichianaHumaneSocietySPCA) or our website.

Our Adoption Process...

Looking for a dog or cat? Here's how we do adoptions at MHS. Come into the shelter and find the pet you want to add to your family. Fill out an application form and leave it at the front desk. Then you call us the next morning to find out if you're approved!

Once your adoption is approved, if the pet is already spayed or neutered you can come in, complete the adoption contract, and take your baby home.

If a spay or neuter is required, MHS will schedule it within the next week. Once your pet's surgery is complete, you can come in and pick up.

Adoption fees are $135 for dogs and $85 for cats. That includes all initial vaccinations (except rabies), spay or neuter if required, heartworm or feline leukemia testing, and flea treatments.
