Ben's Story...
Double fun is heading your way with these two totally goofy boys named Ben and Billy. They don't have to go together but once you see their connection and the fun they have together you just might want to give them a try. Ben is part Spaniel and part Beagle and was born May 2016. He weighs 32 pounds and will probably be a large dog when full grown. His coat is red and white and he's super cute. Make your appointment today to meet Ben and be prepared to fall in love with two sweeties.

To see Ben, submit an adoption application at Staff will contact you—typically within two business days—for a phone interview and to schedule an appointment to visit the Farm in Centreville where our dogs and horses are kept.

Our dogs and horses are NOT at the HSFC shelter at 4057 Chain Bridge Road, Fairfax, VA--only our cats, birds, rabbits, and small mammals can be visited there. Come by and see us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ben, a Fairfax Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Beagle for sale in Fairfax, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Beagle puppy from a breeder in Fairfax.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fairfax already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fairfax breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Beagle breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type)/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fairfax paves the way for another one to be saved.
