Awesome 4 yr old male rescued from puppymill life, wants to become a loving cherished pet. As is typical, he is very shy and frightened of people, but does not react with any aggression. Just needs lots of time, understanding, and love. I have seen him playing with the other dogs, and he is going to be a great little guy for someone willing to put in the work to get over spending his whole life so far in a small cage. Everything he sees is new to him, and he is taking it very well.
He is an extreme flight risk at this point and absolutely needs a secure fence. If he gets away before he has learned to love and trust, he will be impossible to catch. He associates people with pain, not safety. He is going to be a happy, fun loving, sweet boy when he settles down, and well worth the effort. Adoption fee is $450.
We do not charge an adoption fee, but do ask a donation to reimburse for our medical and transport expenses. That is usually $450 for an adult dog, $800 for puppy under 1 year, and reduced amounts for senior and special needs dogs. Now that we are officially a 501c3 charity, all donations are tax deductible. We are not a brick & mortar shelter. All of our dogs are fostered in private homes. If you would like to help with fostering, please submit an adoption application
Each dog will be spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (negative, unless stated otherwise), treated for parasites, and up to date on shots. While we are vigilant to get everyone as healthy as possible before we send them off to start their new lives, it is to be expected that, after the stress of traveling across the country from Kansas, (where most of our dogs are rehabilitated), and going to a new home, they will probably need to be retreated for parasites. We want to stress that your new friend needs to be seen by your veterinarian within the first week of arrival.
We absolutely guarantee a happy adoption, or you MUST return the dog and we will undo the contract. If you are not happy, the dog is not happy, and we are not happy. We are in this to make the dogs happy.
