Charlotte is a sweet little Rat Terrier mix that would love to be your buddy.  She was a stray who ended up in a shelter and not wanted by her family.   Charlotte has mammary glad tumors which will be removed Dec 5th.    After recovering from that she will be ready for adoption.   She is a little unsure of  new dogs when she first meets them but fine once she knows they aren't going to hurt her.      Charlotte has not been around younger children ( toddler age ) so we are not sure how she would be with them.
Charlotte does walk well on a leash but we would not trust her off lead.  Remember she was a stray so either wandered off or was dumped somewhere.  She is curious of her surroundings and does not listen well when called.   Caution with open doors that she does not escape.
Due to her size and temperment no tie outs for her. She must have securely fenced area or be walked a few times a day to go potty.  An exercise pen would be fine for those without fenced yards.

About WolfSpirit's Toy Breed Puppymill Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small not for profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing toy breed dogs.
We accept mostly Chihuahua's, Pomeranians, Miniature Schnauzers, Brussels Griffons, Chinese Cresteds, Papillons and Yorkies,( but not limited to these breeds).
We take in the old, the special needs and the young.

They include retired breeders, kennel close outs, and sometimes puppies, that, for some reason were returned or rejected by pet stores.

Although our main focus is helping any ex breeder in need, we also pull from kill shelters and when we have the foster space available will help with owner surrenders.

We consist of families and individuals who foster in our homes since we do not have a physical shelter. We do not receive any government funding nor outside fundraisers. We rely entirely on donations and our own fundraisers to support our efforts. Without our caring and dedicated volunteers and foster homes we would not be able to help these little survivors out of the mills and offer them a chance at a normal life. There are no salaries here for what we do. We get paid with sloppy kisses and a warm body to snuggle up with while they are with us.

Our Adoption Process...

We have an online adoption application for those interested in adopting. We check vet and personal references. Approved adopters must sign an adoption contract. Our adoption donations vary according to each dog. These depend on the expenses that we incur for that particular dog.
