This pretty lady is Jodi. She is 13 years young and is a good companion cat, mellow, sweet, friendly and affectionate. She is outgoing and will greet you with leg rubs and curl up beside you on the sofa for petting. She would love to be allowed to sleep on your bed with you too. Jodi expects to be treated respectfully and will let you know if she feels stressed with a quick swat that just means ÂIÂve had enoughÂ. Her sassiness is a bit amusing because sheÂs such a tiny thing, but she thinks sheÂs the boss.
Jodi did have a cat buddy in her prior home, so she would likely be fine living with another friendly cat again. Jodi is playful, and she enjoys the challenge of chasing that little red dot on a laser toy. She doesn''t jump on counters but she does need a carpet covered scratching post to fulfill her natural instinct to scratch.
Jodi arrived at Nevins with a suspicious lump that was removed. It was cancer and although the removal was a complete success, her new family will be special people that are willing to give her a loving home with the knowledge that the cancer may return in the future. But Jodi just wants to live every day like a normal kitty, with a sunny window to look out of during the day and someone to curl up with in the evening. Jodi is indoors only and just needs one or two adults with a big heart to give her a loving home. She may not have long, it could be months, maybe years, but she deserves a chance to be happy.
