Baby and Goldie's Story...
Baby and Goldie are both male canaries. They came into the rescue at different times. Baby came in when he was ill and has been nursed back to health. Baby is the yellow canary and is about 6 years old. His original owner died. He has malformed feet so cannot perch. He likes sitting on a folded washcloth and looking at himself in the mirror. Goldie is 11 years old and had to be rehomed because his owner is moving into a senior housing apartment where they don't allow pets. Goldie moves slowly and is a bit disheveled. The boys seem to like each other's company and have even started chirping a little since they have been together. If you are a canary lover and want to give a sweet pair a home, these guys are for you. They are being fostered in Hightstown, NJ.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby and Goldie, a Hightstown Canary was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Canary for sale in Hightstown, or seeking a Canary from a breeder in Hightstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hightstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hightstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Canary breeders who help with Canary rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hightstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
