Facts about Pretty

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Orange Or Red (Mostly)
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Once a member of a 20-cat colony in Brooklyn, NY, Pretty came indoors for good during a brutal winter season. When The American Street Cat relocated to Texas, so did Pretty and her other foster friends.

Pretty is about 3 years old, spayed, neg/neg for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped. She had an upper canine pulled at the time of spay and has just not figured out how to close her mouth properly. Her "scowl" belies her sweetness and has turned into one of her most endearing features.

This sweetheart adores cat friends and would do best in a home with another feline friend. Pretty also likes her resident dog friends, which are large breeds, so a home with a cat-friendly dog is fine, too.

If you're looking for a lap cat, bed warmer, and purring machine, Pretty is your girl! That said, she doesn't love being held. There's always give-and-take in a cat relationship. This compromise is small given the enormous amount of love she has to give.

About The American Street Cat, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

NOTE: If you have found or trapped cats, or need to relinquish your own, please contact stationary shelters in your area. We do not handle public intakes.

The American Street Cat, Inc's primary focus is on TNR (trap-neuter-return), but the kittens and friendlies found during the rescue effort cannot be ignored. They are brought indoors, well-cared for in a non-shelter environment, and promoted for adoption upon a clean bill of health.

We are a small, volunteer-based, non-profit organization, with no paid officers or staff. Any donations of time and/or money will be greatly appreciated.

We are committed to minimizing the pet overpopulation problem, thereby minimizing the homelessness of beautiful adoptables such as ours.
