Patti (female)

Intake date:   11/27/16

Breed:  Russian Blue (DMH)

Age:  Approx DOB 9/26/16

Adoption fee:  $80 (which includes microchip enrollment fee and $50 spay rebate coupon if not spayed prior to adoption)

Good with other cats/dogs:  yes

Vetting:   UTD on shots, FIV/FeLV negative

Health issues:  none

Temperament:   Somewhat shy, but very sweet!

Intake reason:   As we were driving through the Subway drive-thru in Benton, we noticed two tiny kittens by the dumpster.  They were looking at us and meowing the tiniest little meows.  It was cold and rainy.  Lola, one of our volunteers... hopped out while Ninna went on ahead through the drive-thru to finish up the order.  Long story short... we immediately got “Lola” (named after our volunteer) with some good smelling food... but had to come back for Patti because capturing Lola spooked her.  In any case, we got them both.  They were clearly dumped because they are used to human touch!  While somewhat shy, they are very sweet.  If these kittens were born in the wild, we would not be able to touch them.  So we KNOW they are dumped.  Subway told us there were three, but sadly we saw no signs of a third.  Special thanks to Patti, the sweet lady who came out daily for two weeks to feed them.  We named this little sweetheart after her.  Now, they are safe, warm, dry and fed in our Meow House until they find their furever homes.   Kittens are everywhere and sadly there are not enough homes for the overpopulation.  Our Meow House is small and we cannot handle the overwhelming problem in this area; however on this day, we helped two.  The only way to rid the overpopulation in this area is to spay and neuter every cat you see.  If you are feeding stray cats... then you MUST spay and neuter them as well.

SPAY/NEUTER REBATE PROGRAM:  Due to the age of this pet, he/she may not be spayed/neutered at the time of adoption.   If this is the case, you will receive a $50 rebate coupon which will entitle you to a rebate of $50 once your pet is spayed/neutered and valid ONLY IF DONE ON OR BEFORE 6 MONTHS OF AGE!  It is REQUIRED and part of our adoption contract that all unaltered pets be spayed/neutered no later than 6 months of age.

Others notes:   Only adopters with a responsible cat ownership history and excellent vet reference need apply.   If you bring this pet into your heart and home, you will receive in return many years of love, companionship, and loyalty.  That’s our guarantee.   Keep in mind BEFORE APPLYING that a cat’s lifespan is 15-20 years… sometimes even longer!   If you cannot provide a FOREVER home, please do not apply!

**IMPORTANT NOTES:  This pet is available for adoption through Ninna’s Road to Rescue, Benton, La.  We are 501c3 non-profit organization.  Our mission is to rescue small-breed dogs and a handful of cats and to re-home them into RESPONSIBLE and CARING forever homes.   To apply to be approved to adopt, please e-mail for an adoption application.

Time may be of the essence if you are looking to adopt a specific animal.  We do not reserve animals, unless and until we have approved your application, provided the animal is still available at the time we receive your application.  The first APPROVED application we receive will be considered.  We are NOT a first come, first serve rescue!! We adopt our rescues out to the RIGHT home, not just A home. Only responsible pet owners need apply.

Applying to adopt does NOT commit you to the adoption until you’ve met the pet (unless you already have).
