Ma Barker came to us right after she and all her other furry family members were removed from a home where a drug bust went down. She was afraid and thin. After I earned her trust the first day, she has been my little lap dog ever since. She was heartworm positive and has been with us the last 3 months under treatments. She is now heartworm free and has gone from 13 to 16 pounds. She is a real character and she will make a family a really nice mouthy little snuggle pup.
Ma needs a home that is used to dealing with small little high energy dogs. She has been kid friendly with my 3 year old granddaughter when she has visited but she does need slow intros with new people. She can be a bit scared at first and she will bark at new people. I think I finally got her to realize the pharmacist and drive through banking window are safe and if she's nice they will give her a treat. With a bit of time and patience she will become your best friend.
Age: 5 years
Weight: 16 lbs
