My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marty is a two year old, male Chihuahua mix that weighs around 12 pounds. He was listed at the Animal Shelter as rescue only because he was SO scared that he would snap at everyone. He is a super cute guy, but he was either teased quite a bit or spoiled by his previous owner. I have been able to get him to trust me in a short amount of time, but he is still "Cujo" to others right now. He will sit on the sofa with me and paw at my hand so that I will let him in my lap. Then he paws at my hand for me to pet him and love on him. He is just a cutie pie once you get past that front he puts on to scare people away. Marty is current on his shots, has been de-wormed, neutered and tested negative for heartworms. The right family for Marty would be one without small children and without lots of wild activity. An older couple that are Chihuahua savvy would be his ideal home. He needs to trust first and then he can be taught that other people are really very friendly. Please let us know if you think you fit the bill for this little devilish boy.

In the picture where he is sitting on the steps, he is sad because I made him "sit" for the camera, so he made his decision that he was NOT going to look at me so that I could take his picture. Yes he is spoiled.
