My name is Orson. My name means “Bear Cub” for I love to play like a bear cub does. Always happy and always busy. Watch out for at times I am a bit mischievous. Any way you look at it, I am truly unique. My siblings, Auberon, Fawn, Raoul and myself were found on the side of the road in a gas station parking lot in a baby’s travel size play pen. Thus our litter is called the Roadkill group for if our rescuers had not found us and two other orphans, Jonas and Poe, we all would have been Roadkill.
Now the road the gas station is on is a country highway next to a major intersection. Very busy. No one knows where we came from or how we got to this rural area. We are so thankful we were found for a lot of puppies out there become bait for dogs being trained to fight.
But this is a thing of the past for us. Once we were taken away from this area, no more being hungry, full of worms and scared. Our foster mom has us safe and sound now. We have all the food we can eat, water we can drink, warm blanket, lots of love and attention. She has made us healthy and strong. I hear stories every night about other orphans from here who now have amazing families who want them and keep them safe. Someday I too want a family like this who will take me hiking, walking, snuggling and call me their best friend.
