Gonzo's Story...
Gonzo here...I'm a little guy with a big personality and a red sweater. I was found by a good Samaritan who found me when I was out for a jaunt. Not totally sure where I was going - and I'm 100% sure I never want to be in that situation again. I am about 3 years old, am wrapping up heart worm treatment and will be fit as a fiddle in no time flat. I enjoy the company of other dogs and children are pretty great too. My adoption fee is $500 and will include (though not cover) my heart worm treatment, health certificate, vaccinations, neuter surgery and transportation from my foster home in Memphis to your area upon adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gonzo, a Hagerstown Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Dachshund/Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
