Hope's Story...
Hope is a very sweet, gentle, wonderful dog. She's very affectionate, loves to cuddle, and is happy just to be with you wherever you are. Hope had a rough time before we rescued her, and she was was mistreated and abandoned by someone she trusted. A good samaritan found her tied to a tree in an empty park in Putnam County. They spread the word, and several people scrambled to help her. With a foster offer, we took her into Florida Urgent Rescue (FUR). Just in case she'd been stolen and dumped, we continued looking for her family.

In a very short time, Hope has completely bounced back. This sad, defeated girl has perked up once she discovered how nice it is to be with someone who loves her and cares for her. She's a very sweet, low energy dog, extremely loving dog who is happy just to be with you.

We start all of our adoptions with a one week sleepover, so you know everything there is to know before finalizing the adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hope, a Jacksonville American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
