Do you have a special place in your heart for a senior dog?? If so, please consider Marge as your special friend. Marge is a beautiful black Cockapoo who is approximately 10.5 years old and weighs about 30 pounds. She was originally rescued from an animal shelter where she was turned in by her owners when they couldn't care for her anymore. After spending almost 6 wonderful years with a loving adopter, Marge is once again looking for a new home. Her owner is moving to an assisted living home and can not take Marge with her. She is just devastated and wants Marge to find another home where she will be loved. Marge is housetrained and knows how to use a doggie door. She is very affectionate and loves to snuggle up next to you or sit in your lap. She loves attention and a good tummy rub. She is good with other dogs and children and loves to go for walks. Marge is playful and enjoys playing with a ball or romping at the dog park. She also enjoys a good chew toy to keep her teeth pretty and white. Now, she just needs to find a new home that she can call her own. Are you the one to open your heart to her?

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

About Education & Animal Rescue Society (EARS)

About Our Rescue Group...

Education and Animal Rescue Society is an all volunteer, non-profit Texas corporation whose mission is to educate the public about issues concerning animal behavior and proper care for pets including an emphasis on vaccinations, spay and neutering, and nutrition. Further, EARS is committed to finding homes for unwanted animals that would otherwise perish in shelters. EARS keeps all of its animals in homes with volunteer foster families where the animals are loved and treated like a part of the family until the right permanent home is found.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Goodsearch will donate a penny to EARS virtually every time you search the internet!

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a shelter, as all of our rescue animals are living with foster families in private homes. You can meet one of our animals by appointment once your adoption application had been processed and initially approved (final approval occurs right before the adoption is complete). Also, EARS has Meet and Greet Days at various local venues in the Dallas area. We will post the dates and times of the Meet and Greet Days on this website. Meet and Greet Days are an opportunity for you to meet some of our animals. Unfortunately, not all of our animals make it to every Meet and Greet Day so please contact us at adoptions@earstexas.orgto check if your four-legged friend of choice will be available to meet you. (We do not do any onsite adoptions.)

Our Adoption Process...

If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please email us at for an application and more information. Since we are an all volunteer group, please be patient with us in responding to your inquiries. Thank you for your interest in our adoption program!
