My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you have a special place in your heart for a senior dog?? If so, please consider Millie as your special friend. Millie is a beautiful black Cockapoo who is approximately 10.5 years old and weighs about 30 pounds. She was originally rescued from an animal shelter where she was turned in by her owners when they couldn't care for her anymore. After spending almost 6 wonderful years with a loving adopter, Millie is once again looking for a new home. Her owner is moved to an assisted living home and could not take Millie with her. She is just devastated and wants Millie to find another home where she will be loved. Millie is housetrained and knows how to use a doggie door. She is very affectionate and loves to snuggle up next to you or sit in your lap. She loves attention and a good tummy rub. She is good with other dogs and children and loves to go for walks. Millie is playful and enjoys playing with a ball or romping at the dog park. She also enjoys a good chew toy to keep her teeth pretty and white. Now, she just needs to find a new home that she can call her own. Are you the one to open your heart to her?

We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
