Silver's Story...
Meet this guy and you’ll soon realize that Silver is in fact the most precious of all metals (and maybe even greys)! He’s gorgeous, sweet and quiet – a bit on the timid side, in fact, as he settles into retirement. The poor guy is afraid of cats so we’re confident he can learn to peacefully co-exist with one provided proper introductions (prey drive does NOT seem an issue here!). We think he’d thrive best in a household with another dog around to help with his confidence but he’s well-behaved and crates like a dream. No slouch in the fun department though, he does love a good race around the backyard.

Silver will be available for in-home meetings with approved adopters beginning 11/25.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Silver, a Spencerville Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Spencerville, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Spencerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spencerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spencerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spencerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
