Trudy is a beautiful gentle coonhound. She's very skittish/nervous when it comes to new people/new situations. You just have to prepared to be patient and slow with Miss Trudy. She's approximately 2 1/2 years old and weighs 54 lbs. Trudy was not doing well in the shelter. It became clear that this poor girl was never socialized so she was put into foster care with a loving family. Her progress is slow but steady. Trudy loves running around a fenced in yard. It's then that you see all her potential. She absolutely loves being outside. Trudy needs to be in a home with a dog similar to her size. She wants to play but it may be too rough for small dogs. She's cat friendly and we're realizing that she has a real fear of children in general. You have to coax (and sometimes pick her up) to get her back inside. She'll actually hide from the children once inside. Trudy is great in the car and loves to walk She's great on a leash. Matter of fact, she'll go to the door to let you know she's ready to go! Miss Trudy just needs to find that special family that won't give up on her! If interested, go to http://www.cttrhs.org click on adopt and fill out an application!
