Dakota's Story...
Hi there, I'm Dakota! I'm young (so much life to live!), I'm spunky (think you can keep up with me?), and I'm gorgeous (just look at my fur!)! I had a glorious adventure (was a stray) but now I'm ready to settle down and find a family of my own! I'm hanging out at DCACC until they find me. I love going on walks, playing with toys, and learning new tricks so I hope my new fur-ever family will like to stay active! I've been told that I'm a little "excitable" (hey, I'm just trying to have a good time!) so a family without small children would be best (I might knock them down on accident!). I also need a home without cats, can't stand them (dogs rule and cats drool right?!?)! Think you might be the family for me? Mush on over to DCACC and meet me today! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dakota, a Wheaton Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Wheaton, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Wheaton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wheaton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wheaton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wheaton paves the way for another one to be saved.
