Lucinda's Story...

LUCINDA is a beautiful black kitten, about 12 weeks of age, with soft shiny fur. Super sweet, affectionate and gentle, she likes to follow and hug the leg of her foster caretaker. LUCINDA loves other cats and hopes to get adopted since she's been left behind after her 3 brothers got adopted. She is spayed, tested and has been vaccinated, wormed, and flea treated. Please give this good natured, adorable little girl a chance for a loving home! We have found black cats to be more purrsonable, don't seem to shed as much as other colors, are above-average talkative and intelligent (don't be surprised if black cats are the ones who teach YOU to play fetch or they learn to open doors!)

This kitty is NOT at the Sanctuary! Please contact Foster Mom MARYANN at 412-537-5556 to meet this little sweetheart today and bring the gift of love into your home this Christmas!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucinda, a Delmont Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Delmont, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Delmont.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Delmont already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Delmont breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Delmont paves the way for another one to be saved.
