Smidgen & Taffy are two sisters who we have been fostering since they were 2 days old. They were born on February 29, 2016
Taffy is a beautiful black & white Tuxedo girl. She has blossomed into a wonderfully loving lap kitty & purrs all the time. She has always been very active & playful. She enjoys being petted and pampered and of course, cheek scratches are always welcomed! She can be a little shy in new situations or startled by loud noises...but, she recovers quickly.
Smidgen is a beautiful grey dilute tabby. She has the most gorgeous amber eyes. Smidgen was always the smallest kitten from her litter – but, she was also the bravest. The first one to check out the water bowl or the first to venture out the door of her room. Smidgen has overcome so many obstacles in her short life, but, she is one of the sweetest kittens we have had the privilege to foster. She loves to cuddle and she especially loves to run and play.
Smidgen is considered a special needs kitty – she was born with an abnormal internal anatomy which makes it hard for her to process food properly. She has had surgery to correct it, but could require an additional surgery down the road. Physically – on the outside – you wouldn’t know there is anything awry and her only requirement is a special diet and monitoring. We will be happy to go into more detail on her condition, just ask!
Smidgen & Taffy have been inseparable their entire lives and get along so well. They play together, but do not argue or fight. They both tolerate other cats – but, due to the strict diet Smidgen must have and the fact that Taffy can be a little reactive to other cats (just a little hissy) – they would do best adopted together to a home with no other pets. The ideal home would have a cat savvy person that can work with the feeding regimen and monitoring.
