Hi Coloradans! I'm Marnie. I'm packing my puppy bags (really just treats) because I landed a last minute spot on a Colorado bound transport. Can you believe it? I have a lot to be thankful for these days. Just a few weeks ago my humans decided they didn't want me anymore, it was scary. Luckily, a rescue angel here took me in and called the Sunshine peoples who fell in love with me. They keep telling me that soon a family will be so grateful I came into their lives, I can't wait for that day. I'm just 9 months old and have so much love to give! The doc said I weigh 23lbs and will probably only gain 10-15 more, I'm cool with that. I'm good with other puppers, I love kids and I'm smart too!
If you want to foster or adopt me hurry up and email my rescuers at!
See you soon,

About Sunshine Canyon Dog Rescue

Our Adoption Process...

- Complete our adoption application.
- Email your finished application to Please put the dogs name in the subject line.
- Be patient & understanding. It may take a couple days for us to go through your application & get back to you. We are dedicated to finding the right home for each dog. The dog you are interested in might not be a good fit for you but that doesn't mean its the end of the road. We will work to find you a compatible dog!
- Upon approval we will discuss details of pick up & follow up care.
- Because the majority of our dogs come from out of state; most of our adoptions are done before you meet the dog. We make up for this by doing a mandatory 1 week foster period. We treat it like an adoption (w/ contract & payment) but you have a week to make sure its a good fit. If you decide within in the foster period that you are not compatible, we will reimburse your adoption fee. All we ask is that you continue to foster until we can find a forever home. Our adopters often say that our foster period is much better than a pressured 15 minute meet n greet in a shelter. We cover most medical costs within this week period.
- After the week period we are still a resource for you! We are always happy to help from training to kinds of dog food, we are here for you.
