Facts about Moon

  • Breed: Quarterhorse Mix
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Large
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 149566
Moon is a 12 year old black and white Paint mare that stands about 15hh. She is a stunning mare who came to us in October, 2016 from a seizure done by our ACI team. She came with basic handling skills like leading on a halter and standing tied. After evaluating her we do not believe that she has ever been properly started under saddle. She is currently learning to stand well for grooming, stand for hoof trims and lunge on a line. We believe she would do best with consistent work with an experienced, patient handler/trainer. All SPCA of Texas horses have negative Coggins results, have been on a regular deworming and farrier schedule, and are current on vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting, please visit the SPCA of Texas website, www.spca.org/livestock, to fill out an application. Once your application is approved, our equine staff will contact you to schedule an appointment, or you may contact us at 214-461-1933. Appointments are required to ensure staff are available to help you decide which horse is the best fit for you. Moon is located at the SPCA of Texas' Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney, Texas. Moon's adoption fee is $300.
