LIZZIE's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

LIZZIE's Story...
Lizzie is a one year old, red & white Border Collie/Aussie mix, predominantly Border Collie, semi-rough coated girl who is great with other dogs, good with people and kids of all ages, has a really sweet personality and is very willing to please.  She is good in the house, looks forward to walks and rides well in a vehicle.  Lizzie knows how to use the doggie door but wants to be with her human most of the time.  She is crate trained but would rather sleep in the bedroom with you or on the bed.  She is not a barker and is extremely obedient.  She will need someone who can spend a lot of time with her every day and maybe give her some kind of a "job".  She is very fast when running around with the other dogs, maybe would be a good Agility or herding prospect.  She doesn't have much interest in chasing a ball, but would rather chase the other dogs.  She does have a few "quirks" that her prospective adopter would have to deal with, nothing too extreme, but some people would not find them acceptable.  If you think you would be interested in Lizzie please fill out an application on our website and you will be contacted.
Lizzie is being fostered in East San Diego County.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LIZZIE, a San Pedro Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in San Pedro, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in San Pedro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Pedro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Pedro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Pedro paves the way for another one to be saved.
