Maggie Lilly's Story...
MAGGIE LILY

Maggie Lily (or maybe she should be called Snow White?) is a one year old female terrier mix. This is one of our larger Lap Dogs...40 pounds for our peeps out there who prefer heftier dogs! She is very well behaved in the home, but she is still a pup! She will occasionally want to chew things she should not, so she will need some supervision. Maggie Lily is house-trained, a bit pully on leash, but very playful and full of terrier personality! She is crate trained, and sleeps in her foster mom's bed. This gal gets along well with other dogs and can be a bit of an attention hog. She is a total sweetheart! If you would like to make Maggie Lily part of your family, please fill out an application online at www.lapdogrescue.org and include her name at the top.

Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Westie, West Highland White Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Westie, West Highland White Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!

In fact, there are even Westie, West Highland White Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Westie, West Highland White Terrier/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
