Facts about Pilot

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10833569-Pilot
  • Hair: Short
Born July 2016

Pilot was found near a dumpster in Traverse City. He was a very sick little boy. He had a total of nine open wounds that were cuterebras caused by bot flies and other parasites. Additionally, he had pneumonia and a severe ear infection. He was taken to Clarke-Everett Dog and Cat Hospital and they were not sure at first if little Pilot would make it or not. But this little guy is a survivor and a fighter! He is doing really well considering all he has been through in his short life. Pilot still has a slight head tilt that may be permanent. His foster mom says he is a sweetheart who is cuddly and he loves to sleep with you. He has a wonderful temperament. His foster home is a busy household and he does great with other pets and young children. Whoever adopts Pilot will need to understand that he may have future medical needs and must be able to care for him. His foster mom says he may require a little extra love and care but he is definitely worth it!

About AC PAW

About Our Rescue Group...

AC PAW started as a vision of two people, Brian Manley and June McGrath, to ensure a safe haven for animals from abuse, hunger, disease and death. AC PAW was founded to give the animals in the five-county Grand Traverse Area of Northern Michigan a second chance at life.

We are officially in our 20th year of volunteer service and work with a handful of dedicated volunteers and a small number of donors. AC PAW began on July 1, 1995 and was officially incorporated on Jan 16, 1996. During this time we have rescued and placed nearly 10,000 dogs and cats into loving homes.

We are always looking for animal lovers willing to put some time and effort into volunteering or becoming a foster home. Any kind of donations (financial support or pet supplies) are greatly appreciated.
