Affectionate, Intriguing, Decisive
Patsy Walker is a long cool kitty who knows what she likes - and what she doesn't!
What she loves: Play, play, and more play - especially interactive wand toy games with her person. Her nickname is Patty Playpal! Climbing - she loves to climb up her cat tree and watch out the window. Hanging out with and cuddling with her people. She loves affection but doesn't demand it. Doing funny little things that make her people laugh. Kids - she has gotten along well with kids ranging from 18 months to middle school age.
What she doesn't: Other cats & kittens - Patsy needs to be your one and only feline friend. Wearing a collar - it was a Herculean challenge to put it on her, and then she went on a hunger strike until it was removed. Nail trims - don't even think about it. Instead just give her a good scratching post so she can take care of her nails herself. A litter box that is too small or not impeccably clean. She likes plenty of room to move around, and if the box is not scooped at least daily, she will give you "that look".
Patsy is a long-bodied, svelte young lady. Her short hair is shiny and silky soft. She keeps herself impeccably groomed at all times. Her looks and her impish streak almost remind you of Audrey Hepburn!
Patsy has quite the vocabulary. She "chats" rather than meowing. She has a special mild meow for when she is hungry. Otherwise she verbalizes in short sounds that reflect her mood. She is so funny in the way she "talks", especially when she is playing.
Patsy is a young, healthy girl who is ready to rock! She would do best with a family of active adults and kids who enjoy petting her and playing with her. She would love to have a home with lots of windows and a nice, tall cat tree so she can climb and enjoy her view of the outside world. She does need an extra-large litter box to accommodate her long body and her preference for moving around a lot in the box. She needs to be fed wet food only. She came to us with a broken jaw, and though her jaw has healed, she can't eat dry food. Patsy will also need several scratching posts and surfaces, and gentle reminders to use them.
Patsy needs a bit of time to get comfortable and begin to relate to a new home at her own pace. She is not a cat who responds well to being forced into anything. But if you can accommodate her quirks, she will reward you with wonderful companionship, affection, and lots of laughs. She'll even go into her carrier without a fuss and remain calm during the car ride to the vet!! That alone tells you how special she is!
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
