THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING

These wonderful people helped a neighbor by taking in their "puppy", as neighbors were moving and couldn't or wouldn't take it. SUPER NICE PEOPLE, but just said "yes" for the wrong reason. The people who have the dog, also have 3 small children...the puppy has now grown into a BIG puppy, and they were not prepared to take this on. They have tried working with a trainer at Petsmart, and walk her, bring her to doggy parks etc....BUT the problem remains, they cannot control her. (They have never been dog owners before, so this has been a terrible situation for them).

The dog is nervous around people at first, but after a awhile he is fine. Unfortunately, the dog has had bad encounters with other large dogs at the dog park, that were not so nice, so now she is not good with them with out proper introduction. She has snapped 2 times at people (Which I believe was in play, as it didn't break skin), but now that has thrown them off the edge ..

They have 3 little children to worry and think about. The mother LOVES the dog, the dad and family members tell her to "Get rid of it and care for your children".

Heres what I know about the dog:

Collie mix. (I think maybe Anatolian too??)

female, 1 year , spayed and UTD on vaccines.

She is friendly to people she knows. scared of strangers. she need time to warm-up

She has the history of snapping at 2 people.

she is better for a family that has no kids and someone who is good at training and having control.

she also likes to play ball, frisbee.

she knows sit command.

Very smart and just needs someone able to control and teach her...shes a PUPPY!

Her adoption fee is set at $200.00 If interested in her, PLEASE go to our website at www.azrain.org and complete a application for her.

About R.A.I.N. Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

R.A.I.N Rescue is an animal rescue organization helping the thousands of cats and dogs throughout the Phoenix Area. We are a 501 C3 tax exempt, no-kill, non-profit organization.
Our goal is to save as many lives as possible and raise enough money to have a shelter in the East Valley.

R.A.I.N. Rescue is ALWAYS seeking foster homes for SMALL dogs, puppies, cats and kittens.
We are currently needing volunteers for these Departments also:

Foster Homes, Transporters, Groomer, Adoption Center and Fund-raisers.

FOSTERING: We take in "small" dogs, puppies, cats and kittens to foster.
The fosters DO NOT pay out of pocket for expenses while Fostering
ANY animals in our Rescue. This is a Misconception of many folks. The Rescue pays for everything necessary. We also accommodate for time away.
*Some of our best fosters have been the winter visitors, who may only be able to take in dogs for 3-4 months.

TRANSPORTERS: A person designated to take the dogs and cats for their vetting. (Spay/Neuter etc), groomers and sometimes to pick up and drop off at adoption events when the fosters are unable to bring them. Picking up new strays/owner surrenders etc and taking them to their foster home. This position will pay mileage.

FUND-RAISERS: Anything to help bring in funds to our non-profit Rescue. You will earn 10% of the money brought in to help the animals for each event!

GROOMER: A skilled groomer with their own grooming equipment that can groom / bathe/clip nails on small dogs/puppies. We will supply the shampoo/towels etc. We would bring them to your location in the east valley.

VOLUNTEERS AT ADOPTION CENTER: Cleaning cat kennels (Inside help with cats and kittens weekday days & nights), cats laundry (pick up and drop off), play time with cats, feeding cats, Walking dogs, cleaning their kennels, watering & feeding, Quiet petting time and playing with them.picking up soiled items to take home and launder them.

PHOTO POSTINGS: Cats & kittens that are adoption ready at the Petsmart Center, take photos of cats & kittens and get information on them, post on 3 of our favorite sites online.
This job is currently being structured /created, and will be opening up soon!

*All these positions help the animals find forever homes. Please open your heart & possibly your home, costing you only "time".
Nothing "out of pocket"….and all from your heart.
Many Thanks!!!!

We do Cat consultations with an adoption employee or Petsmart Manager. Adoption Interest Forms maybe required prior to adoption and Adoption Forms are required at adoption. All cats must be taken home in a carrier and dogs must be taken home on a leash or carrier when leaving the store.
Kitten/Cat adoption fees range from $75.00-$125.00. We may give a discount if two animals are taken together or if we have an adoption special in place.
We microchip Cats and Dogs for a $20.00 donation fee to your personal pet(s) too. A dog home inspection will be conducted by the Dog Director for Foster homes and adoptive homes. These will be set up to accomodate both parties.
