My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everyone loves grandpas and you will definitely love this one too. He's a senior Dachshund mix that was found as a stray by the Avon Police Department. Grandpa went into foster care so he wouldn't have to be at the shelter during his waiting period to see if anyone would claim him. Here's what his loving foster mom had to say about him..."Grandpa can make himself at home in any heart. He is great company for an afternoon or evening nap. He needs frequent potty breaks to avoid accidents. If kept on a schedule he's fine. Grandpa does not like to be crated. This sweet senior enjoys hiding under blankets, but don't worry, he's easy to spot because his wagging tail never quite makes it under the blanket." Grandpa is still in foster care but is now available for adoption. If you are interested in meeting this gentle soul please email Mary at volunteer@friendshipapl.org to set up an appointment.

All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are wormed, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Dogs 3 months and older are micro-chipped.
