Rooney is a super-sweet 2 year-old Lab/Boxer mix male with a lovely face, long eyelashes, and a fantastic disposition. Hard to believe that this great guy was sitting at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter with few options. Fortunately, a good Samaritan pulled him from there and found a temporary foster home for him until he could make the trip to Canine Lifeline. This dog has been an absolute gentleman in his foster home. He gets along great with other dogs and has been friendly with all people that he’s met so far. Rooney has excellent crate manners and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. He’s going to make a great walking buddy and a terrific companion for one very lucky family. Rooney weighs about 50 pounds and his adoption fee is $200. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Rooney. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs.   All of our dogs come to us from county dog pounds so we have no history on them. We also have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 4-5 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 24-48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.  Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Rooney and to submit an online application.

About Canine Lifeline

About Our Rescue Group...

Canine Lifeline is an all volunteer 501(c)3 organization with a mission to save adoptable dogs from being euthanized at shelters due to overcrowding or treatable medical conditions such as heartworm. All of our dogs are in foster homes throughout northeast Ohio.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Canine Lifeline takes adoptable dogs to Petco in Macedonia most Sunday's. We also participate in many adoption events throughout the summer months. Please check our website at www.caninelifeline.org for the most current adoption event listing.

Our Adoption Process...

All Canine Lifeline dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations including a one-year rabies, and are on monthly heartworm preventative. In the warmer months of the year, our dogs are also on a flea and tick preventative. The adoption fee for dogs 7 months up to 7 years of age is $200. Senior dogs may be adopted for a reduced fee of $125. Puppies 6 months and under are $275. Since all of our dogs come from shelters and have been stray or abandoned at least once in their lives, we want to make sure that their next home is for keeps. That’s why each adoption comes with a two-week trial period to make sure it’s a perfect match before the adoption is finalized.
