Hello DC! My name is Amber and my siblings and I are ready to come to experience the big city our furever homes. My momma is a good size pup- about 30lbs so we are thinking as full-grown dogs we will be an adorable healthy large size dogs!

My siblings and I love to play and we have several puppy wrestle sessions a day. We play hard but with fall here we are all looking forward to rompin’ around the yard and jumpin’ in piles of leaves! We could even go play with a tennis ball or a rope toy! As I get older we can go for walks- we will need to start short since my legs are so short!

Good news is my siblings and I can handle any situation so we can live with kids, other dogs or feline friends. We are all blank slates ready to be trained and molded into the perfect pup! Since I am soo young, I will be a big responsibility and take a lot of time, lookin' after and training.

We are just little pups so we will need lots of attention! I am sorry but if you work 9-5 away from home you might not be a good fit for me unless you can show proof of multiple dog walks a day!

Amber will require an adopter who is home for most of the day to work on house training and continued socialization. Puppies this age need to go out every few hours.

Amber will need to be neutered/spayed at the adopter's expense by the age of 8 months, on or about May 15, 2017.

About DC PAWS Rescue

Our rescue is an all-volunteer, foster-based dog and cat rescue in the DC area. We partner with a local rescuer in Pickens County, SC, who saves adoptable cats and dogs from the county’s animal control facility, which lacks the resources to facilitate adoptions to the public. Without a mechanism for local adoptions, all animals not claimed within the mandated hold period are euthanized. For the animals in this rural area, rescue is really the only lifeline. Our rescue partner not only works with DC PAWS to save as many dogs and cats as possible, but she has also established a successful spay/neuter clinic in the community to decrease the number of homeless and unwanted animals over the long term.

BE A FOSTER:

Fosters make it possible for DC PAWS to save and care for homeless, neglected and abandoned animals! To learn about fostering dogs or cats for DC PAWS Rescue, please contact us at: info@dcpawsrescue.org!

For any of our animals! Sponsors help us provide critical medical care, food, boarding and other support for animals facing euthanasia. Individuals who sponsor a dog or cat receive special recognition on the animal's profile. Sponsorships can also be made in honor or memory of a loved one, and you may designate to whom DC Paws Rescue should provide notice of your gift.

About DC PAWS Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

DC PAWS Rescue was formed to serve the interests of animals through activities such as animal rescue; providing sanctuary for abused animals; public education concerning the needs of animals in shelters, positive-reinforcement training for animals; placement of rescued animals in adoptive homes, and other related charitable activities.

Come Meet Our Pets...

At Adoption events listed on our website: http://dcpawsrescue.org/events/ and at foster homes, once an adoption application has been submitted and approved.

Please note that we are an all-volunteer organization and while it is our goal to respond to all emails we receive, we may not be able to do so due to the large volume of emails we receive. We recommend reviewing the animal's profile on our website and then submitting an adoption application as a first step. Thank you for considering adoption and DC PAWS Rescue!

Our adoption process entails:
1. An application
2. An interview
3. Vet check (if applicable)
