Athena (Spayed)'s Story...
"Athena" is a beautiful 6-year old female Labrador Retriever who was surrendered by her owner on November 18, 2016. "Athena" has a black short smooth coat with small patches of white on her chest, a long tail, and a serene-looking face with long floppy ears. She was a real dollbaby and so gentle when we had her outdoors for glamour photos on a dreary November afternoon. "Athena" walks gently on a leash with no pulling whatsoever, and she obeyed the 'sit' command when asked to do so :) Her previous owner told us that Athena dioes not do well with other dogs or children, but that she does like cats. She has been kept indoors and is housebroken. "Athena" has already been spayed. She is a full-figured girl who currently weighs114.4 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena (Spayed), a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
