Nellie's Story...
Nellie is 11 weeks old with a personality as sweet as sugar plums! She is very friendly and playful with other dogs and people of all ages, and walks really well on a leash ... be sure to watch her video. She can be a little bossy with other dogs, but respects those who teach her what her boundaries should be. Nellie's favorite thing is to be held and to softly cuddle into someone's shoulder. Her foster mom reports that she is quickly learning her house training skills. Adoption fee is $120. (jb)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nellie, a Pulaski Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Pulaski, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Pulaski.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pulaski already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pulaski breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pulaski paves the way for another one to be saved.
