Mr. Cool Cucumber.  Are you looking for a devoted companion?  A buddy to watch movies with?  This cuddle boy loves affection and is seeking a forever home that will devote their time and love to him.  He loves to hug his people.  He will wrap his arms around you, bury his head in your chest and hug you.  One of the most docile Brittanys foster mom has ever met.  He is an easy keeper and causes no problems.

Tanner is a 5 year old, neutered male.  He is rock solid muscle weighing in at 48 pounds.  He is a larger boy, but extremely gentle.  His coat is mostly white with orange freckles all underneath.  His face and muzzle are kissed with freckles as well.  He moves with Brittany grace, but is as fast as the wind.  He walks well on a leash and will listen to your commands.  He does not want to disappoint you.

He loves squirrels and will patiently wait and watch them.  He must have a yard and a secure 6ft fence so that he can continue his squirrel watching.  He spent days and nights outside, so now that he is an inside boy, he is not missing an opportunity to lounge and relax. He loves to sleep upside down.  Either on his dog bed, in an over-sized chair, or snuggled in your arm pit while sleeping next to you..but upside down.

Tanner’s former life of passive neglect has made him insecure.  He craves human attention and affection.  He does not like to share his space or people with other dogs and feels unsure when dogs approach his bed, crate, or snuggle buddy.  He would do best as an only dog or partnered with an extremely mellow sibling.  He definitely needs a human that understands a dog with a not so wonderful past.  His hard point on a cat tells us his home must be free of small animals or kitties.

Tanner would thrive in a forever home that is peaceful, quiet, and full of compassion.  If you would like to make Tanner your cuddle buddy, please complete the on-line application by visiting, Adoption Center, Adoption Application.  Once the application is complete, you will hear from your local area State Coordinator. T his process includes a detailed phone interview, a vet check, and a home visit.

He is healthy, UTD on all vaccinations, heart worm negative, (on preventative), and micro chipped.  Tanner’s adoption fee will be $350 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.
