Perky Tux is a beautiful Maine Coon/Tuxedo who can always be found sitting alert in a sunny window watching the comings and goings of the neighborhood. He appreciates a slower approach of being able to sniff your hand and make eye contact before moving to the next level – which gives him time to trust and enjoy petting. Tux likes to sit next to his person and is also an athletic high jumper with wand toys. He is an affectionate and purr-y head bumper who loves cat nip and kitty treats. Tux may be okay with a confident cat in the household with a proper introduction. He most likely would be happiest in a home without young children or dogs unless they were particularly mellow and cat savvy. Looking for an independent, low maintenance, entertaining, and dapper tuxie boy? I'm a big bundle of fun and love coming your way if you're game. Tux is a big boy who weighs in at about 15 lbs. He is healthy, current on all shots, neutered, and tested negative for disease. He is approximately 5 years old. He is with his foster dad in Campbell, California. $100 adoption donation  to the St. Francis Animal Protection Society.

About St. Francis Animal Protection Society

About Our Rescue Group...

A Northern California nonprofit founded in 1971, St. Francis Animal Protection Society (SFAPS) is there for at-risk animals -- from shelter pets and strays to cat colonies and animals who need a new place to call home. We advocate, educate, and rescue.

As a community-run organization, our work is funded entirely through charitable donations. We focus on dogs and cats at highest risk, regardless of age, breed, or medical condition. And we do what it takes at all costs -- whether that means medical testing, treatment, and training or compassion, care, and companionship. Because we believe every animal deserves to live a happy, healthy life.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We don't have a physical facility -- all our adoptable animals are living the good life in foster homes with people to pamper them until they make a love connection.

Our Adoption Process...

Are you interested in making a St. Francis animal a part of the family?

Great! Submit an inquiry and we'll touch base within 24 hours to discuss your interest. If it's a good match, we'll set up a meet and greet and have you fill out an adoption application. Then, if it's love at first sight, we'll finalize the adoption with a signed agreement and adoption fee.

We may require a home check as part of the adoption process.
