Coco's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Coco's Story...
Coco’s adoption fee is $275.

Coco is a 9 year old Shih Tzu/Terrier mix that weighs 7.5kg. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, micro chipped, and recently had a dental. Coco is a sociable and affectionate dog. She is fantastic with other dogs and older kids (unknown around cats and infants/toddlers). She is house trained and knows the basic command of "come", and sleeps through the night on her dog bed. Coco can be cautious around strangers, but warms up quickly. She seems to be timid around men with beards and panics when voices are raised, but she bounces back quickly.

Coco is looking for someone to cuddle with and love – she’s happiest when in someone’s lap and being cuddled. She’s a real cuddlebug, and I think her goal in life is to be someone’s teddy bear. She loves to eat (she has a bit of a belly) – care should be taken to ensure she doesn’t become overweight. She adores walks and being outside - she is used to three walks a day, and although she isn't leash trained, we are working on this with her.

Coco would do best in a calm, adult home or one with older children, and would love a dog friend, though I’m also pretty sure she'd love being the only one to get all the attention too. If you feel that Coco is the sweet and loving companion that you’ve been looking for we’d love to hear from you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coco, a Toronto Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
