Freetown Farm Sanctuary is a labor of love - an animal rescue and sanctuary nestled in the hills of Smith County, Tennessee. Freetown’s founder and CEO, Deborah Coffee-Walker, has followed her calling and passion to take care of God’s creatures since she was a little girl. “If people truly knew how many beautiful animals get euthanized every day, they’d never again run to a pet store or a breeder to find their perfect companion.” Even as a little girl, she would routinely save animals on “death row” in the local pound, and then go door to door, or hang out in store parking lots until someone fell in love with her rescue and took them in. Please surf our site and let us know how we can help you…or how you can help us. Together, we know we can make a difference.
Our Adoption Process...
We have an adoption application (available on our website), contract, and fee ($150+).
Thank You! Your message has been sent to Freetown Sanctuary.
You'll receive a copy, too, at
to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
