Fruitbat is a small (about 7 lbs), super cute, and a very, very shy Papillon/long-hair Chihuahua mix. After months in a foster home, she is ready for the next big step in her life - finding her forever family!

This special young girl needs a quiet, patient and consistent environment; she is starting to warm up to adults, but it might take time before she comes out of her shell in a new home. Fruitbat likes to meet new people several times before she warms up to them. She has not been around children, but has shown interest in other small dogs; please let us know about all family members.

She has come a long way since her arrival in September, but still has much to learn, including leash walking and housetraining. She is crate trained, knows how to use potty pads, travels well in a kennel, and once comfortable with someone, loves to be in the lap. Fruitbat will need a lot of time and space to become part of the family.

If you are interested in this special girl, please speak with a staff member or email the Behavior and Training department at: training@eastbayspca.org. Pet number 39003.
